Rapper sensation, Michael Owusu Addo also known on stage as Sarkodie has revealed that he sometimes forget his own lyrics when performing. He said this in an interview on
Wednesday on Accra Based Hitz FM that, what he remembers are his hit songs which he normally hear them played.
“I always forget, what helps me to remember are the ones that really hit, so then I can't run away from it, Andy plays some, which I always keep hearing them, those ones I can't miss and my fans know them already so it's easy for me,” he said.
The “Can’t let you go” hitmaker explained that, he easily forget his songs that are not popular, adding that his songs are many to remember all lyrics in each song.
“I always forget because there are lot, the ones that I don't hear them played from back to back. I can't perform them.”
According to him, his professionalism in music will make his fans not realize when he misses certain lyrics in his songs, saying, “I’m a bit professional so you might not see if I miss it...”
The rapper however stated that it is worst for an artiste to think of lyrics when performing.
“The worst thing, an artiste will to do is to think when performing, the moment you think, it can interfere and you will just miss it”
