“Baba” hitmaker, Sonnie Badu has called on Ghanaian media, entertainers and the general public to stop criticizing and insulting sensational dancehall diva, Ebony, for her nudity style of dressing.
Songstress Ebony has received backlashes from some entertainers like Obour as well as the public for her half-naked fashion style, but has received massive support from her father, Nana Poku Kwarteng.
In an interview with Peace FM’s Sammy Kumah (Sammy Kay), answering a question on whether he (Sonnie Badu) enjoys secular music, he revealed he listens to songs from Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Ebony etc.
He also called on the public to love and support Ebony and accept her for who she is.
“Everyone has his/her own reason for behaving a certain way, therefore before you criticize anyone, listen to the person’s story and know what they have been through”.
“All Ebony needs is love, not insults because she is indeed a great talent, although she is known for half-naked dressing, she didn’t dress that way when she launched her album recently, and that is why there is the need to know why she sometimes dress that way, the “Okokroko” hitmaker explained.
The UK based Ghanaian gospel singer further added,” we shouldn’t be hypocrites……. most of those who insult her for dressing half naked are the same people who go to watch her shows”, Sonnie Badu stated.
Sonnie Badu’s foundation donated items plus an undisclosed amount of money worth GHC10,000 to Chosen Children Orphanage Centre in Darkuman a suburb of Accra on 12th December,2017.
